Earth Return: Editor’s Picks

Remember the 70s love affair with orange and brown, a trend which effectively abandoned the shiny bright plastic colours of the 60s, in favour colours echoing the sun and ground? Well 2021 has seen a return to earthy, domestic interiors.

“Neutral colours tend to have a timeless appeal and are less volatile,” says Julie Pont, fashion and creative director of Heuritech a colour Think Tank in Paris. Along with Pantone global research, her division has witnessed a global trend for designers opting for earthy neutrals, across categories including fashion, homewares and kitchen design.

At The Together Project we have collated a list of planet friendly homewares that emanate from the earth and will be returned to the earth –  without the creation of pollution or landfill. We have vetted each brand to ensure they have a positive impact on the communities where they’re created, and that their end of life has been carefully considered.

Retreat, nourish and reset with our Editor’s Picks of new products that some in a range of restorative neutrals. Opt for calm-inducing, grounded tones with ethical products hand crafted from natural materials.
